Black Ops II Zombie Weapon Camo, Nuketown Zombies Available and More!

Hey there zombie fans. I just wanted to pass along some of the awesome new downloadable content additions Activision and Treyarch have added to the world of Black Ops II. As of yesterday (3/13/2013) there are now “Personalization Packs” available for Black Ops II on the Xbox 360.

Why am I telling you this? Zombies of course!

One of the personalization packs for purchase is the zombies pack. That gets you a cool zombie weapon camouflage for your guns and compatible weapons. It also gets you three new zombie themed reticle choices for your ACOG, Red Dot and EOTECH sights. In addition to that you’ll get a custom zombie “calling card”.  Of course this is all just for looks and doesn’t effect game play at all. Well, you’ll look better when humiliating your opponents online anyway! Take a peak below:

I’m the first to shy away from purchasable content and other fluff that doesn’t add much to gameplay, but I just HAD to rock the new zombie camo. Besides they cost very little since personalization packs are available as “micro transactions” which means they only cost about 160 Microsoft points each.

Zombie camo isn’t all they have. There’s bacon, and much much more! So be sure to check out all the cool weapon camo personalization packs available.

The good Black Ops II Zombie news doesn’t end there either. The Nuketown Zombies map pack is now available for purchase and download by all. Previously available only to “Season Pass” holders, anyone can now pony up to download this awesome zombie map.

The Black Ops II goodness doesn’t stop there either. You can also purchase an “Extra Slots Pack” to buy extra class slots, extra theater slots and more. There’s also a “Flags of the World” calling card pack. Finally, the Nuketown  2025 map pack is now available to download for free! (It was previously a bonus map available on to those who pre-ordered, bought a special edition, or purchased the season pass.

Most of what I’ve discussed here is currently available for the Xbox 360 only with availability on other consoles and gaming platforms coming later. (Insert the typical “it’s not fair” whining from PS3 owners here 😉 )

I jumped on the zombie personalization pack bandwagon immediately yesterday so I might as well share my thoughts. The zombie camo is cool but it’s honestly hard to see what it is on some smaller guns. It looks great here in the photo, but on the gun in a game it’s a little hard to tell what it is at times.

The zombie calling card features some blue toned zombie action and consists mainly of zombie heads. The reticles weren’t working for me last night so I’ve only seen them on other guns I’ve seen in kill cams. My favorite is probably one where there is a group of zombie  silhouettes across the sight. Pretty sweet!

Overall I was a little disappointed but I’m not out much since I bought everything with leftover Microsoft points I just had chilling in my account.  I wish the zombie camo could have been executed a little better, but it’s still decent enough to buy. I guess my main complaint is I would have liked a couple more choices. I really wish there could have been 2 or 3 different zombie calling cards and weapon camos provided in the pack but you can’t expect much in a micro purchase.  Anyway there’s only so disappointed you can be with zombies, so I say buy it! See you online N00bs 😉
