I’ve seen many zombie cakes in my internet zombie adventures. Most of them are OK but very few of them are absolutely jaw dropping. This zombie cake from Artisan Cake Company definitely falls into the latter category.
Now before you cake purists start chanting “That’s not cake! That’s not cake!” I know. It’s a display piece made from Rice Krispy Treats. (He even features a jello brain!) That all doesn’t really matter to me. This thing is still an amazing work of art. I wouldn’t be any less impressed if this were sculpted out of clay. The fact that this thing is edible just blows my mind.
In another life I have a bit of a history in anatomy and healthcare so I’m honestly blown away with how accurate the anatomy is on this. Amazing work. Gawk at the photos here and then be sure to head over to Artisan Cake Company’s website to see more!
This cake was actually made back in October of 2012 and somehow I didn’t hear about it then. We were just made aware of it today thanks to the technabob.com blog. I just had to post this masterpiece for you guys to check out.
