Perhaps running for your life from hordes of flesh hungry zombies will help make things more interesting? Maybe helping to save civilization will be enough motivation? Well you can do all of this and more in the new ZOMBIES, RUN! app for iOS and Android.
Don’t get us wrong, we know running is awesome. We’re just saying running is so much better when you incorporate zombies. ZOMBIES, RUN! does that perfectly. This awesome running game immerses you in a virtual post-zombie apocalypse world. You play as “Runner 5” and you have hundreds of lives in your base counting on you. Your main objective is to collect supplies and items to help your base survive. Of course you’ll need to do that while running from hordes of zombies.
One of the best parts of this zombie running app is the fact that you don’t need to do anything dangerous or distracting while you run. There’s no need to look at your screen during your run. You simply press a button to start your running mission and press a button again when you are gone. After your run the fun continues at home. You get to assign items to those who need them most and consider your best strategies for survival.
Another aspect we love about this app is its simplicity. While the missions, strategy and storyline are all complex; the app itself appears ridiculously easy to use. You don’t need any special gadgets, armbands or tracking devices. All you need is your compatible iOS or Android based device and your running shoes. Don’t get it twisted though, easy to use does not mean this app is useless or boring.
This app still tracks all of the running stats and fitness details you could ever desire. Most importantly, it’s fun! Each of the running missions is a full zombie immersion experience. This is just as much an audio adventure as it is a running app. Put your headphones in, start your mission and you’ll hear instructions and other information as if you’re wearing a radio on a real zombie mission. You’ll also hear the zombies chasing you. Their hungry moans, guttural groans and desperate hostile hunger for human flesh can all be heard in vivid detail. There should be no worry about becoming bored with ZOMBIES, RUN!, because the developers have truly gone to the next level with this app. There are about 30 missions for this app in the first season alone. There also paid add-ons planned that are sure to keep things interesting. The running missions and strategy are just the tip of the iceberg. There is also an underlying story behind it all. As you progress through more missions and more seasons you’ll uncover more about the story behind the zombie outbreak. Where did the zombies come from? How did you get here? Will you be able to save mankind or is this all just a lost cause? These are all burning questions that need to be answered. You’ll have to grab ZOMBIES, RUN! and get up off that couch to find out!
