Many of you will recall about 10 days ago we posted to excitedly inform you about Capcom’s London “Blood Pool” marketing event for the Resident Evil Revelations video game. A large pool was going to be filled with blood colored water and floating fake body parts. About 200 attendees were invited to dive down to the bottom of the pool to retrieve and keep Resident Evil collectibles.

Unfortunately the event, scheduled for this weekend in London has been cancelled. Capcom decided to pull the plug due to
a bloody machete attack on a British armed forces member that happened in nearby Woolwich.

Capcom officials stated:

In light of yesterday’s sad events we’re cancelling our Revelations pool event. Thank you for your understanding.— Capcom UK
