Hyundai and Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead franchise have teamed up yet again. This time they’re bringing gamers a new app called “The Walking Dead Chop Shop.”

The app lets you customize Hyundai vehicles with parts in an effort to build the ultimate zombie apocalypse survival machine. You can currently choose 3 different base vehicles and use around 300 different parts to make your ride zombie proof. Some of the more notable Chop Shop vehicle parts include a horde plow, machetes, automatic crossbows, a flamethrower and more! True fans of The Walking Dead comic will be rewarded for their loyalty. Gamers can answer trivia questions from The Walking Dead comics to earn more points and unlock exclusive parts for their rides.

Of course the app doesn’t stop at simply building a zombie apocalypse survival vehicle. Once you’ve built your zombie dream machine you can pit your car against other zombie survivalists and interact with apocalyptic storylines. You’ll be given a “survivability score” to see how your zombie survival vehicle stacks up against zombies and other players.

There’s also a cool sharing feature. You can share your vehicle in the Chop Shop gallery where many vehicles are shared right on the The Walking Dead Chop Shop website! Robert Kirkman himself will reportedly be choosing one zombie survivalist’s zombie vehicle design to be built for New Your Comic-Con. Zombie fans can also share their vehicle to Facebook and Twitter and compete with their friends.

The Walking Dead Chop Shop app sounds pretty sweet. Look for a full review here in the future. Yesterday (1/9/2013) AMC released the official poster for the Season 3 Mid-Season Premiere of its hit TV show, The Walking Dead.  This poster features the tagline “An Eye for an Eye” and shows the Governor in the background with his bandaged injured eye. Rick is n the foreground, with the left half of his face suspiciously out of frame.

There’s no doubt this poster hints at the battle that is sure to ensue between Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and The Governor (David Morrissey). What will happen?  Will the governor get revenge and take out Rick’s eye?  The poster definitely seems to be leading fans in that direction.  It almost seems too obvious. I can’t help but wonder if the poster is intentionally misleading fans.

Heads up for those who haven’t read the comic….here comes a spoiler. In the comic Rick ends up getting his right hand chopped off and Carl ends up taking a stray bullet down the side of his head and he loses his eye. It’s no secret the TV series has drastically strayed from the comic’s story line, so I can’t help but wonder how things are going to play out.  Would the governor get even by taking Carl’s eye? It seems pretty likely, especially since he lost his daughter and his eye.  I reading way too much into things? Do you think this poster is to be taken literally at face value and Rick is going to end up losing an eye? Is something else going to come up to totally shock us all?  Let me know in the comment section below!

Whatever happens, the second half of Season 3 is sure to be full of unexpected twists and turns. I can’t wait to see how things unfold. I’m also looking forward to the near future with Season 4.  (Even if it will be the first  since ex-showrunner Glen Mazzara‘s departure from The Walking Dead_.

This funny video runs just under 2 and a half minutes and is full of great Holiday related references to AMC’s hit television show. It even finishes up with a great Breaking Bad reference.

The Series 2 Walking Dead TV action figures are just getting ready to hit store shelves. Even though series two hasn’t been released yet, photos of the upcoming series 3 Walking Dead TV action figures have been leaked!

The series 3 figures will include Michonne, her two pet zombies, Merle Dixon, and “Autopsy Zombie”. (The zombie killed and then cut open and autopsied to examine its stomach contents during the hunt for Sophia.)

Each figure measures about 5″ tall. The Michonne figure features 24 points of articulation and comes with a removable poncho, katana sword and katana sheath.

Michonne’s Pet Zombies each come with removable backpacks, neck chain leash, arms and bottom jaw. Pet Zombie #1‘s backpack also has an added bonus: a removable shotgun!

How’s about a hand for your old buddy Merle? The Merle Dixon action figure comes with 20 points of articulation, a prosthetic arm with removable bayonet, an assault rifle,  a pistol and a knife.

The “autopsy zombie” comes with a knife and it even features a removable shirt to reveal  a partially digested hand and/or woodchuck carcass!

Each of these Series 3 The Walking Dead TV action figures from McFarlane Toys will retail for about $14.99.

Not quite enough to get those geek juices flowing? Well there will also be a special bloody black and white variant version of Michonne with her pet zombies that will retail for about $35.99!

I have to say it looks incredible! I can’t wait to see how the action unfolds at the prison and I’m very eager to see how Michonne and the Governor will be portrayed on TV. It will be very interesting to see just how true to the comic book the TV series stays.
