(Video contains some season 5 spoilers)

Although the season 5 finale of The Walking Dead is only a few weeks back in the rearview, true fans are already longing for glimpses of Season 6. The bad news is we’ll have to hang on for the next 6 months or so before Season 6 is underway. The good news is The Walking Dead loves to tease us and keep us hungry for more. Well . . . I suppose it can be good or bad news dependent on how we look at it.

The folks over at AMC have already begun to torture fans with some hints at what’s to come for Season 6 of The Walking Dead. As if the 7 month wait between seasons isn’t enough to suffer through, AMC recently began the slow and painful teaser train that will make us suffer until October. This week they posted the video featured above with the cast and crew sharing their thoughts on season 6. In true TWD fashion, the video reveals little and simply tantalizes us with thoughts of what might be coming our way.

Norman Reedus thinks it’s going to be “total chaos” and Andrew Lincoln hints at some dark days ahead. Of course we don’t learn much because most of season 6 is still in Scott Gimple’s head. One thing is for certain, we agree with Andrew Lincoln; “There will be blood.”

What are YOUR thoughts? What do you think Season 6 will be like? Let us know in the comments section below!

This new zombie television show stars Rose McIver, Rahul Kohli, Malcolm Goodwin, Robert Buckley, Nora Dunn and David Anders. What’s it all about?

Olivia “Liv” Moore (played by Rose McIver) was a healthy, living, rosy cheeked medical resident. The over-achieving beauty had it all figured out and had her entire life path carefully and meticulously mapped out for herself. Unfortunately (as it often does) life had other plans for Liv. One night Liv attends a party that takes an unfortunate turn of the undead variety. The party turns into a horrible zombie feeding frenzy and Liv turns too. She ends up with a whole new undead “life” as a zombie. She’s a zombie, but not your typical rotting, shuffling variety. She’s just human enough to get by, but now she must struggle to fit in and attempt to look as human and normal as possible or face the risks with revealing her secret.

The good news is with her pale skin and white hair she can pass for a goth chick. The bad news is the formerly bubbly young female is now exhausted and this and other dramatic changes in her behavior are baffling to those close to her. As if this wasn’t enough to deal with, poor Liv has to battle that pesky zombie urge to devour tasty human flesh. Fortunately she takes a job in the Seatlle coroner’s office. While this may not be the glamorous and ambitious dream job she had originally planned for herself, it does afford her the opportunity to satisfy her hunger for human brains.  She sneaks a tasty brain snack from the nameless John and Jane Doe corpses that come along.

Despite her best efforts to carefully cover her tracks, Liv’s Boss (Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti played by Rahul Kohli) uncovers her undead secret. Instead of being horrified, Dr. Chakrabarti is amazed and excited about the scientific possibilities Liv’s situation offers.

Liv doesn’t hold such enthusiasm for her predicament. She resigns herself to a horrible zombie existence devoid of any real meaning or purpose. Life, or life after death, takes on new meaning for Liv when she makes a starting realization.  It seems with every brain she devours she retains a portion of that deceased person’s thoughts and memories. This leads to her experiencing visions from the point of view of murder victims and she finds a whole new meaning to her new found zombiedom. Posing as a psychic, she begins to work with homicide detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) to solve murder investigations. The only catch is Detective Babineaux doesn’t know Liv’s secret. He believes she’s just an odd Goth chick with psychic abilities. Will Liv be able to keep her secret? Can she balance an undead life among the living? Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment and Wango Films is bringing the zombie comedy, Dead Before Dawn, to DVD and Blu-ray on October 1st in the U.S. This film focuses on a new breed of zombies that are half zombie and half demons or “Zemons.” Don’t take our word for it. Here’s the official synopsis:

Will our heroes be able to reverse the curse and save the day or will all of humanity be Dead Before Dawn?! Zombieland meets the Goonies in this blood soaked horror comedy that pits college kids against ZEMONS, the newest monster to join the horror creature lexicon.

They’re baaaack! I’m talking about Entertainment Weekly  Walking Dead collector covers of course! For 2012, Entertainment Weekly magazine created a special set of 4 The Walking Dead collector’s covers to coincide with their August issue giving a sneak peak at season 3 of AMC’s  TV series. These issues were wildly popular and nearly impossible to find on the newsstands or in store.  Certain issues, like the Daryl Dixon cover, are still commanding a nice price tag on auction sites like ebay.

The folks at Entertainment Weekly have done it again for 2013. This time it’s a 3 cover set (pictured above) featuring: Rick Grimes, Carl Grimes and yes ladies. . .Daryl Dixon. These issues are set for a July 26th release date. Happy hunting!

Never one to shy away from gory marketing stunts, Capcom has done it again with their latest promotional effort. To generate buzz for the upcoming video game, Resident Evil: Revelations the company has decided to fill a London swimming pool with “blood” and invite fans to dive for prizes and collectibles.

Of course the swimming pool, located near London’s Olympic Stadium, isn’t really filled with actual blood. The water is simply colored red to look like blood. Fake body parts such as eyeballs and human torsos will bob around to complete the gory illusion. The best part? Fans can even dive down to the bottom of the pool to retrieve Resident Evil collectibles that they can take home!

It’s not too often I find myself wishing I lived somewhere other than the USA, but this is definitely one of those times!

The event is scheduled to take place Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26, 2013. Interested in obtaining free tickets for this event? You’d better act fast. The event is limited to just 100 attendees each day. That means only 200 lucky people will get to participate! Attendees must be 16 years of age or older and anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult. For details on ordering tickets visit this site: http://residentevil.eventbrite.com/#

Goggles and towels will be available but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they don’t like these items used and spattered and stained with fake blood.

The official statement from Capcom reads as follows:

Capcom are thrilled to able to create the world’s first blood swimming pool. Zombies have been kept very busy lately doing a variety of PR stunts, so rather than do the expected, we wanted to give them some time off for canal side relaxation in London. To non-zombies, the swimming pool will be shocking, gory and an incredibly disturbing experience – the perfect way to show that survival horror is back with a bang for Resident Evil Revelations.

This marketing effort is being used to promote the upcoming release of Resident Evil Revelations on Xbox 360, WiiU, PS3 and PC. The release date is set for May 21 in the U.S and May 24 in the UK. This release is basically the fan favorite Nintendo 3DS version ported over to console. Check out a trailer below:

We heard plans of an original “Zombieland” series long ago but it’s now official. Sort of.

Amazon Studios, the original movie and series production branch of Amazon.com, announced today that it will add  Zombieland to the string of pilots already in production for Prime Instant Video. Zombieland is the seventh comedy pilot added to Amazon’s pilot line-up and will be made available for free on Amazon Instant Video and LOVEFiLM UK. Customers will be invited to view the pilots and review them on the site.  After launch customer  and viewer feedback will help determine which of the 13 total pilots Amazon Studios will take into full-season productions. In other words, if viewers like the Zombieland pilot Amazon just may turn it into a full episodic series on Amazon Prime Instant Video!

Here’s more from the official press release:

Zombieland is a fan favorite and we can’t wait to see where this story line goes in a serialized format,” said Roy Price, Director of Amazon Studios. “We’ve been announcing a lot of exciting exclusive content for Prime Instant Video, like Downton Abbey, Under the Dome, and Justified, and we think adding original shows to that lineup is going to make Prime even more enticing for customers.”

Zombieland is based on the hit Columbia Pictures movie of the same name, and finds four survivors outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home. The Zombieland pilot comes from the feature film’s original creative team, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Joe Schmo Show), and producer Gavin Polone (Gilmore Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) is directing the pilot.

The part of Tallahassee will be played by Kirk Ward (The Island), Maiara Walsh (Desperate Housewives, Switched at Birth) is cast as Wichita, Tyler Ross (Milkshake) will play Columbus, and Izabela Vidovic has the role of Little Rock.

“Zombieland will strive to break the rules—action, adventure, thrills, chills and laughs and all packed into a half hour format,” said creator Paul Wernick. “This is not your average show but Amazon is not your average network.”

No details have been released yet just when the pilot will be released, but you can be sure we’ll bring you the news when we have a date! What are your thoughts? Will you be watching the pilot? Do you think a Zombieland series is a good idea? Let us know in the comments section below.
