This Sunday (February 10th, 2013) brings us the return of AMC’s The Walking Dead to the small screen. As if that wasn’t enough to be excited about, McFarlane toys teased us by releasing the first official sneak peek pics of their upcoming The Walking Dead Season 3 blu-ray box set.
The geniuses at McFarlane Toys brought us last year’s Season 2 RV Zombie head blu-ray case and believe me they haven’t slowed down one bit. This new governor themed case simply blows us away!
We’re always jealous of the folks over at MTV Geek! They usually get to leak photos first for these blu-ray cases first and work the zombie corner of the internet into a frenzy in the process. We’ve borrowed their exclusive photos because we just can’t bear to NOT share something this awesome with all of you.
This The Walking Dead Season 3 Blu-ray boxed set comes with the Governor’s zombie head fish tanks. The decapitated zombie heads are all gloriously decayed. You can even interchange them and arrange them how you see fit. Want to hang them and suspend them in the tank? You can do that! Prefer to let them bob around at the bottom? Go for it! The best part is you even fill the fish tanks with real water to complete the look. The photos look like there may be some leds or other other lighting, but I saw no mention of it in the article.
The release date and pricing info have not been announced yet, but I’d start saving those pennies now. No real The Walking Dead fan is going to want to live without this case!
