Heads up fans and collectors of The Walking Dead! As if the exclusive limited edition Governor’s fish tank season 3 case wasn’t enough, Walking Dead collectors can now purchase yet another ultra-cool, ultra-exclusive and rare Season 3 Blu-ray box set: The Target Exclusive Steelbook edition!
This 5 disc set comes in an awesome Steelbook case. As the name implies, this is a Target exclusive available only via Target and Target.com. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Forget ordering online…I’ll swing by Target and pick one up on the release date.” Ha! While that scenario isn’t impossible…it’s only slightly more likely than winning the lottery.
Trust me when I say the odds of you picking this up in store, even are release date are very slim. I speak from experience after my recent fiasco searching, calling and begging every local Target store within 100 miles for a copy of the Target exclusive Steelbook copy of Evil Dead (2013). There were none to be had less than 24 hours after it was released! I can personally assure you your local Target will likely have extremely limited quantities of these. What they do have will probably all be snagged by the first ebay seller that’s waiting in the parking lot the minute the doors open on release day.
Our local Target stores claim they only received 6 or 7 Target Exclusive Steelbook copies of Evil Dead and I believe it because I had a better chance of finding Sasquatch roaming Target’s aisles. The bottom line is if you want one of these Target Exclusive Steelbook Edition of The Walking Dead Season 3 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you pre-order or order online. Otherwise you’ll be left to pay ebay prices which I’m sure will NOT be anywhere near the suggested retail price/pre-order price of $54.99.
